New to the emergency room this year is Lucy Knight (Kellie Martin), a diligent third-year medical student beginning her rotation — and about to discover there's more to medicine than what she reads in books. Outstanding episodes include "Stuck on You," directed by David Nutter; "Middle of Nowhere," where Dr. Benton (Eriq La Salle) finds himself out of his comfort zone at a rural clinic in Mississippi; and the two-part episode "The Storm." Guest stars this season include Djimon Hounsou and Mare Winningham. Fans will also see the departure of Dr. Ross (George Clooney).
