A rogue planet dislodged from its star passes through the solar system. A manned probe lands on it and discovers ruined cities but no trace of the occupants—nothing, not a picture, not a scrap of paper, not even an appliance. No clue is left as to the nature of the occupants. Astrophysicist, Margot Medina, discovers and photographs an obelisk that is covered with writing. Will the experts on earth be able to decipher it?
