This album shows so much maturation like her sister record « folklore ». Her songwriting skills and production are on point and the melodies are so beautiful and catchy. Taylor draws storylines perfectly and some of the songs in « evermore » like in « folklore » connect with other songs from the record. My favorites are « willow », « no body, no crime », « champagne problems », « dorothea », « evermore » and « ivy ». « folklore » and « evermore » are like a double record. The themes are similar and the melodies too. This album show the incredible evolution of Taylor Swift as a songwriter and most of all, as an artist. She went from a country girl, to a pop star and then now a storyteller.

Honestly her second best work of the year, along with folklore, the different sonorities and the storytelling songwriting are definitely more explored here than in folklore, allowing the themes to get tangled to each other.
